I am the label queen…free label queen that is…

Ladies & Gents….I do not deal well with cutting out labels & then using shipping tape (which I despise because it always gets stuck TOGETHER….argh) I don’t care how cute the label is! I am the LABEL QUEEN! EVERYTHING in my classroom has a label on it…the kids even will for the first few days..lol. I solve most organizational issues with a label…my students tend to become obsessed with labels as well..I hear it all the time from their parent’s. If the kids find a book that doesn’t have an AR label on it…it’s like a stampede of little nuggets running towards me with a book screaming “Ms. Alonzo (maiden name) this book doesn’t have a label!”. Guess what they get if they discover this?? Yes a WARM FUZZY….A BIG ONE! 

I have been seeing some of my labels all over Pinterest which is so exciting for me..I could just scream! I never posted my labels that I used for The Apprentice below.

I indicated to use Avery 8167 return address labels on the label sheet itself. First pin it & then leave me some comment love. Let me know if you have any label suggestions too! Grab them HERE! 

And here are some labels for those of you with those lovely Tarjay Target colorful bins. I actually have the ones from Lakeshore but I bought some for another table & will mark them Monday-Friday…of course. Did this surprise my husband? Um, no I have a little compulsion of having 2 of EVERYTHING! Well, except two husbands…:o)

I indicated on the labels to use Avery 8163 (2×4) labels. Again, pin these so you don’t forget where you saw them & share them with all the other Pinterest maniacs out there who love organization. If there is a special theme you have like pirates or zoo let me know & I can whip of these same labels. GRAB THEM HERE!

Label Tip of the day: DO NOT ORDER LABELS FROM AMERICOPY ON AMAZON! I WAS AN IRRITATED HOT MESS TODAY IN TEARS BECAUSE OF THEIR STUPID LABELS! They soooooo are not equivalent to Avery labels like they claimed! What….a waste of $$$!

  2. I love labeling everything. I bought a coustom stamp to stamp my books. It says "This belongs to Miss Yows" and has a really cute owl. I decided to buy labels, stamp the labels, and the stick the labels to everything else in sight.

  3. Thanks for the Amazon Tip. You need more things to label, my whole classroom is in my garage but 105 heat indexes keep me from working on them..so come on over ….LOL…thanks for the labels, I am doing black lab..which would think would be easy to find…but are not 🙂 Thanks again

  5. Thank you so much for the file folder labels! I about leaped from the couch just now when I saw them! I was looking for those SPECIFIC labels from your desk apprentice picture on pinterest that I found this week! I was sad that I didn't find them and now POOF…here they are! It takes so little to amuse us sometimes!

  7. I remember my very first label project… I spent hours going through my library putting labels on them. And then less than a month later many of them started falling off and I wanted to cry. Even when the kids would let me know I found it very time consuming to be putting labels back on. What is your secret to keeping them on without tape?!?!?!

    Thank you for sharing! I just LOVE, LOVE your blog. I follow both your blog and you on Pinterest. I am headed to Houston next week and plan on stopping at Staples to pick up The Apprentice. I love your labels. I am know as the Crazy Label Lady at my school too!

  11. Thanks for the Monday – Friday Labels. I use a drawer system to organize my material for the week and the labels on there are looking sad. So now I can replace them with some cutesy labels. Thanks again.

  18. I had to report back! I began setting up my new Desk Apprentice tonight to get ready for the school year! I printed off your file folder labels and they look INCREDIBLE! I am SO happy with them! I was not able to find the labels so I just printed them out on cardstock and it worked great! 🙂
