And the obsessive behavior began. Actually I was already friends with Modge Podge in some other projects I will show you but after this…I can’t live without it!
Isn’t it pretty?!? It goes with my Peace theme too! I swear I should have been born in the 60’s! My house & garage looks like Woodstock threw up in it! So after I was a total brat at Office Depot I took my Office Depot sales ad & went straight to Office Max. Well the manager ended up letting me buy 25 bright yellow folders that will be housed in this bad boy. Yippee!
In case you are wondering…those clipboards were also made in the mad frenzy of crafting too. BTW, those will be given away in my next giveaway.
This is just a natural wood magazine holder that I got on clearance from Michaels. The only thing I had done to it was paint the inside white. I originally was going to paint it with red & white stripes & maybe draw some Seuss characters on it but then I changed my mind & created these.
Isn’t it so fun & sassy?!? I love it! The next one is cute but I might add some peace sign graphics to it.
I am planning on making a pretty label for the front of each of these. I might use one for my Sub Binder & the other for my lesson plan binder. Now for some stuff that I previously created for my classroom. BEFORE Pinterest I never took BEFORE pictures but now I will ALWAYS take a pic of how the project started.
This was just a plain wood plaque bought at Joann Fabrics. I got married in April & will go by my married name so of course I had to make myself new signs. I will display this in my classroom.
See why modge podge is my new BFF?!? This also was a plain wood sign that I purchased with a 40% off coupon..of course…I already had the wood letters & circles from previous projects. I will place this outside my classroom.
This one is not school related but I guess I could use it at a decoration for Veteran’s Day or President’s Day, I made this for our annual Fourth of July party. It started out as a clay pot from the Dollar Tree.
This is a birthday chair I made YEARS ago. The kids LOVE when they get to sit in this chair ALL DAY LONG. This started out as a natural wood chair purchased at Joann’s. I am going to make a new one like this next chair.
You might have seen this floating around on Pinterest. I posted it on FB & pinned it myself. This was an old chair from a garage sale & you just rip up an old Seuss book, get tissue paper to match & of course some modge podge. I am going to redo my birthday chair using Happy Birthday to Me by Dr. Seuss. I was going to put a picture of my Star of the Week chair but I can’t find one. I am going to redo it anyway.
This is a sign I made for the Dean of Students. This is with our school colors.
This is a sign I made for our principal who is a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Totally not teacher related but it’s too cute not to post. This was for a teacher friend of mine that was getting married. Her theme was Gerbera daisies. I also made her a super cute teacher sign but I don’t have a pic :o(
I will post more pics as I make things. Feel free to PIN AWAY. I love going on pin boards & seeing my stuff!

Mel, you totally crack me up! I am starting to think we are long lost sisters. I too have an equally unhealthy obsession with Pinterest and Mod Podge. My boyfriend even filled my stocking with it and a super awesome hot glue gun this past Christmas! Anyways, loooove seeing all the things you make. Super cute as always. Head over to my blog and enter my giveaway!

Super cool!! I snagged 6 of the cardboard folder boxes at Wal Mart the other day but wasn't sure how to change them up. Now I know! I've never used Modge Podge before…assuming it's fairly easy??

I am also a huge fan of Dr. Seuss! I am redoing a table and chairs for my daughter and want to do a Dr. Seuss theme. Could you go into more detail about how you made your chair? I'm not really understanding the tissue paper part. Did you use any paint? I'd love to hear how you did it. Thanks!
