Holy Mama! I had no idea what a hit these awards were going to be for my students and all of you. I was pleasantly surprised when I went browsing on TPT this morning & saw this product of mine was in the top 5! Holy Schnikey's! I about fell over! My husband just doesn't realize the feeling of being on cloud 9 over this. Not only am I filled with excitement that this product was actually purchased...I am thinking about all those little nuggets that will be getting these awards all over the world. That my friends made my entire school year! Thank you! I spent so much time on this product and added the full page color & b/w option last month. After creating this last year & watching my own students rip into those candy bars, they had nothing to keep :o( I really wanted them to have something to add to their collection of memories from our school year. So I decided to make the exact awards with a full page color or b/w option. I am … [Read more...] about End of the Year Student Awards

New Writing Station~In Action!
I FINALLY got this bad boy finished! I am beyond excited & so are my students. We.are.obsessed! This writing station has been a work in progress....for a year! I started it at the end of last year to spice up our writing center. I knew I wanted some kind of display but I didn't know how my space was going to work out in my new classroom so I waited. Since I didn't know what my space situation was, I used binders for my organization. This is more of a grab & go option. If there was sheets that went with the station I also included those for their reference. For those that do not have an extra bulletin board or dry erase board space this is another display option. I included 2 different letter sets that spell out "write". Holy cuteness, right? This … [Read more...] about New Writing Station~In Action!
Handprint Calendar
Oh boy! I have been furiously working on this updated calendar. I have made this as a parent gift for years. I have literally had parents in tears over these. Who wouldn't want this treasured keepsake? Can someone please make me one with dog prints??? I have updated this treasure with my favorite graphics from Melonheadz of course. It is so adorable I can't stand it! Have you heard of mybinding.com? Love, love, love my new binding machine. I used this all last year for our weekly class books & now for my newly revamped calendar gifts. Is that my hand? Um, no it's the hubs hand. He is such a good helper & is much more precise than me. It took him under 5 minutes to bind this calendar. Here is a peek inside this newly updated product. Actually, one of my first products on teacherspayteachers.com was my handprint calendar. It is so much cuter now! See that cute turkey handprint? That is not a student handprint, it's mine. This is what … [Read more...] about Handprint Calendar
Work on Writing Linky Party
Thank you to Caitlin from Kindergarten Smiles for hosting this Freebie-licious summer linky party! I will be honest......I have always struggled getting my firsties to love writing until this past year. There are some fabulous resources out there in blogland to help you. I am confident they leave my classroom with a love of reading but my goal this year was to do that with writing. We are giving them the foundation for reading and writing and it's our job to prepare them for the dreaded "writing" portion of state tests. If you have been following my blog then you know I use warm fuzzies. Last year I actually started taking warm fuzzies if they forgot a capital or punctuation. They would get so frustrated but it did work. Daily 5 provided my class with the opportunity to write daily and they ended up being the BEST writers I've ever taught. You have to make it exciting for them & change things up. As soon as I sniffed out any boredom at all I would … [Read more...] about Work on Writing Linky Party
