onu Thanks to Jennifer over at Simply Kinder, my class did pumpkin book reports for the first time ever! She has the book reports posted FREE here. Since I don't have a whole lot of room in my classroom, these were displayed in our library. I had 5 students a day bring in their pumpkins and present their reports. They did an absolutely amazing job! If you have been wondering where I have been....well read below. School and this guy have been keeping me super busy! We basically rescued him. His previous owner was going to take him to the pound because she was moving to a place that didn't accept dogs. Call me crazy but how could you leave this guy? He is absolutely perfect and he completes our fur baby family. We are up to 4 dogs now....yes 4! We are crazy...I know. I snapped this pic as I was leaving with my mom today. I wish it would've came out brighter. All 4 dogs are in the … [Read more...] about Pumpkin Book Reports & MORE!

Handprint Calendar Tips
I get lots of emails and questions about how I do things in my classroom. There is never a day that goes by that I don't learn something new or get a tip from another teacher in my school, on IG or FB or in blogland. Do you ever have those "duh" teacher moments? I do. Daily. This was one of those "duh" moments. My friend Stacey over at Teaching Ever After is also doing my handprint calendar with her class and even her own children. Check that out here. We were having our weekly grade level meeting discussing who has what paint and when are you doing this...when are you doing that...etc. We all had different ideas on how to get this done efficiently with little teacher or student frustration. Stacey decided to bind her calendars first! Unfortunately, I had already started BUT paused my class from gluing. Binding the paper first is genius. GENIUS. I will no longer be losing my mind trying to mentally figure out which way to glue the … [Read more...] about Handprint Calendar Tips
Handprint Calendar *Updated*
Guess what? The handprint calendar is indeed updated! Yay! You're welcome! Personally, I have not yet started. I work way better under pressure. I did not start until after Thanksgiving last year, moved schools & still was able to get 24 calendars done! Bam! Here is what is brand spanking new this year! The biggest request was to have a boy and girl option. Nikki from Melonheadz heard my whining, begging & pleading all the way from Chicago and gave in to my updates. I.love.her! So....you now have the boy and girl versions (color and black & white)! There couldn't possibly be any more requests (I hope not)! When these were passed out there were tears of joy! That my friends is priceless! http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Handprint-Calendar-Gift-968614 I will have this gift that keeps on giving on sale throughout the week. I "plan" on getting started after … [Read more...] about Handprint Calendar *Updated*
November & Oh My… it’s December?
So my much needed Thanksgiving break is over....BIG OLE WAH...(visualize me kicking, screaming & yelling "I don't want to go back to school!") True story. Anyhoo, I thought I'd share some November fun we had with photo props & some other fun stuff. Most of the photo props I use is simply clip art that I blow up & print out on card stock. Michael's and Dollar Tree are always my favorite places to drop by to purchase little props. The favorite item was........ The hats.....oh.my.word the hats. They were too cute on them! No shame with my little nuggets! The hats pictured above came from Target dollar spot but they were actually $3 each. The props in this photo you can grab for free from datingdivas.com. This photo shoot took place in the ugliest corner of my classroom...if you can only see behind that yellow backdrop...lol. Speaking of my school, did I mention I am getting a new classroom in a few weeks??? Getting an opportunity for … [Read more...] about November & Oh My… it’s December?

Who wouldn't want this treasured keepsake? Can someone please make me one with dog prints??? I have updated this treasure with my favorite graphics from Melonheadz of course. It is so adorable I can't stand it! Have you heard of mybinding.com? Love, love, love my new binding machine. I used this all last year for our weekly class books & now for my newly revamped calendar gifts. Is that my hand? Um, no it's the hubs hand. He is such a good helper & is much more precise than me. It took him under 5 minutes to bind this calendar. Here is a peek inside this newly updated product. Actually, one of my first products on teacherspayteachers.com was my handprint calendar. It is so much cuter now! See that cute turkey handprint? That is not a student handprint, it's mine. This is what … [Read more...] about Handprint Calendar
