Daily Summer Journal Freebie & Mother’s Day fun!
The following is a freebie gift idea for your students. Personally, I will give each of my students a spiral notebook to use as a summer journal. I made my little nuggets journals all.the.time! I don't assign them anything to write at home...they want to write at home! I have some very exciting writing activities I have created to share with you this summer. This cover I would use with a construction paper journal. Simply fold a large sheet of construction paper "hamburger style" and insert writing paper. This cover is small to fit on the front of a composition notebook. These are very reasonably priced during back to school sales. This is the cover colored & pasted on a spiral notebook. These were purchased for a penny EACH! I always stock up on these every time I see them on sale. The other side of the cover has these journal writing tips that they can also color. We had so much fun getting ready for Mother's Day this … [Read more...] about Daily Summer Journal Freebie & Mother’s Day fun!

They love the fact that they had so much input on each & every one of these. I also interviewed previous students who are now in upper elementary on coupons they would want. My Reward Coupons Set 1 is my BEST SELLER! And they are also one of the top sellers on TPT. 100th Day, Penguin Ideas & a FREEBIE!
We are not celebrating the 100th day for several weeks but I wanted to put some pics up from last year. This is a sign I made that was hanging in our doorway. I did this super quick on my smartboard. I designed a sign that I will display for them when they walk in. You will have to read further. I have always done the 100th day snack. Each child is assigned what to bring so we don't wind up with 10 bags of pretzels. This way there is a variety that they can choose from. Then we do all kinds of math activities after we sort our snacks. My ultimate favorite creation! Since I taught kindergarten I have had the students come to school wearing something with 100 on it. I've had sooooooo many really creative ideas & I will have to see if I have pics of all of them. The one above & below are all from last year. Aren't those fun??? I can't wait to see what this class comes up with! I always tell them … [Read more...] about 100th Day, Penguin Ideas & a FREEBIE!
Elf on the Shelf Classroom Ideas!
I have been counting down the days until "THE ELF" arrives in our classroom. I almost whipped him out the day before Thanksgiving break.....oh.my.word. they were A.W.F.U.L! This years little nuggets are going to be sooooooo much fun to mess with!!!! Last year I would plot the second I arrived at school, when they went to special, & then write ideas down after they left. I was entirely into it...in an OCD kinda way. This is the part that makes me sad about not having kids of my own :o( I get so into stuff like this but at least I have 24 kiddos to mess with starting December 1st..if I can hold out that long. The parents really enjoyed hearing the stories they would come home with daily. I blogged about it on my classroom blog just so they could see "Elfie" in action. Most of my students ended up with an elf of their own at home. The first thing I did was wrap up the package it came in...book & all with a letter. I put it in the … [Read more...] about Elf on the Shelf Classroom Ideas!
