So I found these itty-bitty-teeny-weeny-little-nugget fuzzies at Michael's. They were so little & cute I just had to have them. I also found these itty bitty containers when I was packing. I knew I would use them for something...viola! I wanted to stuff Cubert into the fuzzy container but that didn't work out so he sat in it. All I remember is writing the note when I was really mad at them. I will be honest. They are a little nutso over this elf & it's kind of having the reverse effect. I am tired. This whole elf in the classroom gig I have going is exhausting. I ended up filling those little containers full of those itty bitty fuzzies & referred to them all week. I ended up giving three away to the three that had excellent behavior. I thought there would be tears...but no. They didn't care. "Twiz" the season to be on your best behavior! They didn't get it & the candy did not work. It just made them more … [Read more...] about Elf in the Classroom Linky-Week 2

Handprint Calendar
Oh boy! I have been furiously working on this updated calendar. I have made this as a parent gift for years. I have literally had parents in tears over these. Who wouldn't want this treasured keepsake? Can someone please make me one with dog prints??? I have updated this treasure with my favorite graphics from Melonheadz of course. It is so adorable I can't stand it! Have you heard of mybinding.com? Love, love, love my new binding machine. I used this all last year for our weekly class books & now for my newly revamped calendar gifts. Is that my hand? Um, no it's the hubs hand. He is such a good helper & is much more precise than me. It took him under 5 minutes to bind this calendar. Here is a peek inside this newly updated product. Actually, one of my first products on teacherspayteachers.com was my handprint calendar. It is so much cuter now! See that cute turkey handprint? That is not a student handprint, it's mine. This is what … [Read more...] about Handprint Calendar

Elf on the Shelf Classroom Ideas!
I have been counting down the days until "THE ELF" arrives in our classroom. I almost whipped him out the day before Thanksgiving break.....oh.my.word. they were A.W.F.U.L! This years little nuggets are going to be sooooooo much fun to mess with!!!! Last year I would plot the second I arrived at school, when they went to special, & then write ideas down after they left. I was entirely into it...in an OCD kinda way. This is the part that makes me sad about not having kids of my own :o( I get so into stuff like this but at least I have 24 kiddos to mess with starting December 1st..if I can hold out that long. The parents really enjoyed hearing the stories they would come home with daily. I blogged about it on my classroom blog just so they could see "Elfie" in action. Most of my students ended up with an elf of their own at home. The first thing I did was wrap up the package it came in...book & all with a letter. I put it in the … [Read more...] about Elf on the Shelf Classroom Ideas!
Elf on the Shelf Freebie
I am so excited to be introducing my kids to the Elf on the Shelf this year! They are so extremely excited & my classroom behavior has drastically improved. We all know how wild & crazy the kids can be before break, am I right? The picture above is where "Elfie" was found yesterday. He actually filled someone's bucket! Finally, I found a reason to recognize one of my "perfect" students & it made her entire day! Here are some pictures of my class in action! Here is my students filling out the following sheet in "Work on Writing" in Daily 5. The kids had such a great time filling their "list" of things they wanted out BUT struggled with the 3 reasons "why" they should get the gifts. We had a very good discussion about the season of giving & what they need to do to deserve the gifts they want. My naughty little nugget had a REALLY hard time writing why he should get COAL anything. Check out #2....It's … [Read more...] about Elf on the Shelf Freebie
