I can't wait to start my Dr. Seuss unit on March 2nd! There have been so many seusstastic activities floating around out there in blogland, TPT, & Pinterest! I just had to share some of my seusstastic ideas! This is Pinterest inspired! I would suggest putting this on manila or yellow paper instead of white. You can tell it's a handprint up close & it turned out adorable! Please pin & then click on the pic above & download this project for FREE! Holy cuteness! I L.O.V.E. how this turned out! The earth is a marble painted..they love this! The mustache is from Rachel from Sub Hub. Download the Lorax mustache & follow her while you're there. Tell her Mel D sent you! I just used Rachel's Lorax mustache template & colored it yellow. I had the kids each hold it up to their faces. This is a Fox in Socks rhyming game. Yowza! That was a lot of work! I hope you enjoyed my presentation and will use some ideas of mine. You want to know what l learned? I learned that I loathe watching myself on video. I learned that the camera doesn't add 10 pounds, it adds 50! Yes, you heard it here! I learned how much I love my job! I learned to appreciate how much my students have grown since the beginning of the year. I learned not to let those creepy politicians ruin my teaching experience. I learned it's about the children, not a 6 hour long evaluation. I … [Read more...] about Virtual Teaching Expo Question and Answer

Candy Land Mania & FREEBIES!
Did you know there are 8 different versions of this game??? Um, yeah, me either! I knew Candy Land had been around for A.LONG.TIME but I did not know HOW LONG! I couldn't figure out why I would get emails complaining that my cards did not EXACTLY match the game cards. Well, I can't EXACTLY copy the cards I thought. Do these people think I want to be sued by Milton Bradley or something...I might as well scan in the cards! My students NEVER once questioned me about the cards or what to do with them. I have over 40 games for them...a different game a week! Well, apparently I'm just a little too laid back about the cards not being EXACT. So after 3 hours I created a version from 2010, 2004, 1999, & 1984. The 4 verions can be found for free in my TPT STORE HERE. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of having to print out another page to match your board EXACTLY. Due to copyright issues they will not be EXACT replicas but they are as close as they are … [Read more...] about Candy Land Mania & FREEBIES!
